Do lizards bond with their humans, if so, how deeply?

Telepathic:
“having or showing the ability to know what is in someone else’s mind, or to communicate with someone mentally, without using words or other physical signals“
*As so stated in the Cambridge dictionary HERE.
Surprisingly, (because it sets the stage for something I’ll mention in a minute) I’m going to begin what follows by declaring that telepathy between humans is real. Entire conversations happen through the eyes. You “hear” the words in your head, but there’s no audio… get it? Words ARE used, but rather, they can be likened to mental impressions. You hear them with your mind and not your ears, but words are clearly understood with not a one spoken. Yep, explained in perfectly understandable terms!😉
If I can suggest a book that comes close to touching on this particular phenomenon, the only one I know of is “Aleph” by Paulo Coelho, a 2011 novel. If you read the book, you’ll know that spot when you get to it. Apparently Paulo’s book was inspired by The Aleph, by Jorge Luis Borges, which I’ve not read. If you’ve read it, I’d like to know your thoughts on the book.
Alright, so we have human telepathy (and possibly alien telepathy), what about animal telepathy – is this experience a possibility with their minds? If telepathy involves words, how can another creature have telepathic abilities, no matter how intelligent, without words (language) to impress upon the mind? Are there levels then, of telepathy, including a wordless variant?
There are animals that have calls, as you know, like birds. This summer, I’ve been highly tuned in to the sounds of the crows around here, and in contemplating the vast variety of sounds, the pitch changes in a single sound of communication, and low frequency noises I’ve heard, I’m convinced they not only have a “Caw” call, crows have language! Now, they can telepathically “Caw” at my brain all day and I may not understand what is being “said,” but that’s where one of those possible levels of telepathy tippy-toes in.
Sometimes we can look at an animal and just know it is curious of us. It can’t think to itself with the words “I wonder…” but the clearest of observations may be the most silent. And sometimes we can look at a stranger and generally know what he or she is thinking. Maybe there is a far-away look in those eyes as they look yonder. He or she is remembering someone at a place in a time of yesteryear. It feels like a dream or another lifetime ago. You may wish you had the power to return to him or her that for which they are longing. You “feel” a bit of what he or she is thinking simply by observing. But, these are physical cues and maybe a sprinkling of empathetic intuition. A look on a face and body language can be revealing as to what’s happening in a mind.

See that definition of telepathy seems to only refer to humans. Let’s look at it again.
“having or showing the ability to know what is in someone else’s mind, or to communicate with someone mentally, without using words or other physical signs“
If you’re familiar with a variety of animals, you know that some are awesome and loving, but not so bright in the mind, while others are loving and possess a philosopher-like demeanor – for that species. I believe there requires some degree of intelligence for telepathy to be possible.
Sometimes people just “know” when something is wrong with our animal friends who aren’t mentally sharp. They could be bored, or sad, or something, and we know this because we know their normal behavior – more physical cues.
Now, this telepathy between human and lizard, in my opinion, could only occur under certain circumstances. I was blessed to have loving and highly intelligent deep-thinkers in my salamanders (yes, salamanders), Green Iguana, and Bearded Dragons. There’s another ingredient for a strong bond and a telepathic-like connection with lizards… it’s love.
I think that nearly anything is possible, but I find that a deeply rooted attachment occurs between a seemingly genius-level lizard and its human moreover than the same occurring between a human and a sweet dog, whom, so not-bright-in-the-brain it is, that when you toss a treat toward him or her, they look at you wondering why you hit them in the face with something. Get what I mean? I’ve known two fur angels like that.
Do you agree that understanding comes largely from observing? Well, that is much of what lizards do, add to that exposure to love and experiences, and well something similar may happen to many animals as it does to humans, their realizations increase, and maybe mental abilities may expand. Animals (and insects) are generally much smarter than humans give them credit for.

I’m going to share some stories below. Let me know in the comments what you think such connectedness may be called or how it could be explained to someone who has experienced no relationship with an animal.
As I continue our mission: “To Convert The Masses To Love Lizards Too,” I’ve been having some writer’s block without Murphy to inspire and motivate me. So, I thought I’d look at our drafts… 87 to be exact! Oooch, Perhaps I was overly-inspired and lacking time for follow-through! I deleted a couple until I came across this one. What follows is that draft. It shows a tiny facet of our bond which ties into what’s above. I will not refer to Murph in the past tense, rather I’m leaving the post as it is, but maybe editing as I read what was begun and adding a shareable story:
🦎LIL’ MURPH IS DETERMINED
I have called Lil’ Murph a rebel and a fighter for years.
When he knows we’re heading to the door to come inside, he’ll squirm with all his strength to get down & stay outside. He knows he will win because he is so strong that I have to set him down for his safety as I often multitask and I’m carrying more than just him. I can’t let him fall. But here’s the kicker, I feel from him the decision he is making a split second before his obvious rejection of the thought & takes action. We may be 6 feet from the door, or 15!
And there was once when he was so determined to relax under a car in the driveway, that after he still wouldn’t give up after I moved him 5 times, I had to relocate us to another area! He did the very same at a particular bush. When he decides he wants to be somewhere specific, there is no changing his mind! He also was diagnosed with a gastric neuroendocrine tumor. The vet offered to euthanize him. I said I wanted pain medicine for him and he’s coming home with me. He miraculously rebounded! He is so strong!
🦎LIL’ MURPH’S ON ANOTHER MISSION
Another time that you may enjoy visualizing is when I was chatting with a neighbor. The fence between us has the posts & 5 planks of wood horizontally, one of the old country styles, I guess is how I can describe it. The soil & grass have risen so much on both sides that Murph can climb over the bottom plank. He wanted in the neighbor’s yard so much that I had to stop him from climbing over & point him toward another direction more times than I can remember.
He, I’m not kidding, even played it off like he wasn’t thinking about climbing back over, and he pretended for maybe 3-5 minutes! He didn’t walk at all, rather, he stayed in the spot where I placed him near my foot, and he didn’t pout. But, he & I have a telepathic-like connection.
At one point, I said to the neighbor, “You see him looking over there?” (This was north toward the road, instead of westward at the fence) “He’s not done.” I informed my neighbor.
And sure enough, about a minute later, he was crawling over the wood again!
The neighbor couldn’t see what I knew. Murph’s face was pointed in one way, but his mind was staring at that fence.😆
I can see my lizard’s mind, and he sees mine.
Honestly, I think that he knew that I knew his premeditated plan, but considered if he sped up, could he get over in time, or if he did it enough times, I might give in & take him there. If you think lizards are not this smart, allow me to assure you they are. It’s not all of them, but I have quite a few stories involving Murph & others. I’ve seen it.
🦎LIL’ MURPH UNDERSTANDS ENGLISH
Go ahead & laugh, but he knows the meanings behind the loving nicknames he has from me. He knows names (and he perks up with sparkles in his eyes when I tell him his other favorite person is here). He knows the words of all his foods, and some more words. Either that, or he is in my mind via a telepathic level.
🦎LIL’ MURPH AND COPPER KEEP NIGHTMARES AWAY
After Copper was in my life and before Lil’ Murph entered, there was a season so full of nightmares that I didn’t know what to think. I’ve had occasional terribly ones like everyone else, but what I experienced was nonsensical. My lizards keep them away! I’m just saying in nearly 8 years with Copper and just more than 8 years with Murph, I do not recall a single nightmare! I knew when Copper was awake, she sent up vibes through the ether at me.☺️ Murph didn’t always care to disclose the information. However, I did know when he was awake at times his eyes were closed.
🦎COPPER WAS A REPTILIAN HOUDINI & ANALYZED HER SAFEST WAY DOWN TO THE PATIO BY OBSERVING HER SURROUNDINGS
Years ago, I had Copper, given away because she had a gimpy arm & moved slowly, so a breeder thought she wasn’t good “breeding material.”😠. Turns out her care had been poor. She had internal parasites, needed a calcium shot, and was dehydrated & malnourished! I think she lived on love & willpower until she saw the vet. I had to design a custom cage, as she was a surprise. I didn’t have a reptile tank anymore. She was an escape artist! I’d come home to find her out of her enclosure and would panic. Nearly always she’d then walk (with the house to herself) to the front door, climb half up it, and relax smelling the air through the crack!! So I’d post-panic kiss her a bunch & take her outside. Then, back to that cage I went to figure out how in the world she got out & secure yet again, any potential spot! I found every itsy bitsy opening eventually!
One day I sat in a chair on the deck with her on my lap at our then place of residence. To the right of me is a step & above that, a small porch. On the step sat a potted plant. Everywhere else was a far drop for her from lap height to the concrete. She realized this & knew she shouldn’t risk it. So she climbed through the side opening of the yard chair & landed on the soft foliage of the plant. From there, she easily climbed out & onto the step, and from the step, to the lower level of the patio where she wanted to be. She didn’t communicate this with me. She went solo & wanted to do it herself. She was also very strong-willed!
Are lizards telepathic? Maybe that is or isn’t the best word, but something is there and it’s not easy to explain. To know someone you love so well that he or she becomes an extension of your own self is a marvelous thing. I don’t know if anyone has loved their lizards as much as me, or have been loved back with equal intensity, but the connection is deep, so tethered together, that I don’t believe death can erase & deaden it.
Now, I don’t want to use up your time, but I do wish to entertain you and share things you may find interesting, even unusual. Care to share your thoughts on telepathy, the lizard/human connection, or any animals with enhanced senses of some kind (i.e. as in the case of animals reactions before signs of natural disasters)?

🐦⬛Off the lizard subject, I’m going to share some silly thoughts I have about birds & animals:
• Why do crows “caw” but roosters “crow” (or “cock-a-doodle-do,” if you want an onomatopoeic debate)?
• Do animals have accents? So, the European Starling has been in North America since the 1890’s, now what if, just what if an American European Starling spent the day with a European European Starling, and they don’t sound the exact same to one another, and their language and beautiful sounds are different? Does a blue whale living in the Pacific Ocean sound the same as one residing in the Indian Ocean?🤔
• I wonder if all birds understand the intent behind the calls given by all other birds. I don’t think so, but which leads me to wonder…
Are these questions so crazy?!
💎See the beauty and mystery in every day🪄
“Give me Lizardry or give me Death!” ❤️Murph & Dawn
