I was blessed to have 2 precious Bearded Dragon souls in my life, a Green Iguana and salamanders. And so very blessed to recently have Lil’ Murph by my side during so many activities for 8 years + 3 days!! Aside from times he had to be in his enclosure to obtain proper heating and lighting, he was with me.
He was by my side as I worked on the computer (on this website, our online store, etc.), either inside or outdoors in the sunlight; Lil’ Murph would go across the road to get the mail with me; he’d be near as I cleaned the house; slept; and since his diagnosis of a GNT on September 27, 2024, he went with me to the gas station, post office, and more, weather permitting. Of our activities together, we’ve watched old cars being brought back to life & more.

At some point, later in the evenings, as most people can relate to, I become mentally and physically wiped out. At this point, it was our cuddle time. I’d sit or lie down with a book or browse Youtube videos. Sometimes, I am so drained from work that I don’t have the mental umph to comprehend a book, especially non-fiction, which is what I read. People don’t really gather to talk or sing around a fire anymore, and the lightning bugs aren’t performing their magic here for long, so… T.V. for me it is – and I’ll watch something that doesn’t require much brain power.

This is where the following media comes into play. 🏎️
I like things many people may not care much for, especially girls – but, I’ve always been different. I don’t want diamonds… Lizards Are A Girl’s Best Friend, and as for cars… I’ll take a modified ’68 SS Chevrolet Camaro (or possibly an equivalent awesomeness) over the newest, trendiest whatever vehicle that costs as much as some homes!!
Hello Beautiful:

As mentioned in “Media With Murph 1 of 2,” “Media With Murph” was a side gig I wanted to do with Murph. I thought it would be a cute twist at the end to ask his opinion of what we just watched. And, since he always seemed unimpressed, I’d show the same photo with the same look, or others with similar expressions on his face at each post’s conclusion.
❤️🦎
Since all I have from before Murph’s transcendence are photos of our watching only two videos, this is the final “Media With Murph” post. However, I’d still like to share stuff from time to time and somehow make it tie in with lizards (which seems impossible now), in case you’re somehow, mysteriously interested in what gets watched around here or are bored of what YT suggests for you. : )
For days after Murph’s… you know, I was a shell. I won’t go into detail about it, or how I felt like my entire being was going through withdrawals from not holding him. What did happen, was I couldn’t work for some days. The house is quiet during the day so I can focus. But those days were different. I needed the t.v. on down low to break the silence. What kept playing was something we watched occasionally. I found it comforting & cozy, I guess. It’s a Youtube channel called Vice Grip Garage. The host & creator, Derek is so folksy. If you don’t know what that means, I think you will halfway into a video.
In his videos, he often says things like, “Well, I’ll be dipped!” I know what it means, but what does it mean,😁exactly? Dipped in what? I’ve heard it… somewhere before, but my grandma use to exclaim, “Oh for crackin’ ice!!” Somehow, I know what that means due to when she responded with it, but why? When and by whom did this phrase come to be? Giggle.
The host of ViceGripGarage addresses his viewers as “Fellers (instead of fellows) and Fellettes (in reference to his female audience).” He makes up his own words for car parts and purposely mispronounces words. He’s funny. The passenger side of a vehicles is “The drinker’s side.” Sometimes his wife and kids are on the show.
When he says “fellers” it reminds me of my dad.
My dad use to address male guests – wanted or otherwise, including salesmen, as “Fellers,” with a welcoming demeanor that was sincere, yet misleading. Dad was the most unselfish man I ever have known, until someone crossed him or his family, then he was cunning and possessed super-human strength – I have hilarious stories!:) So, watching these silly car videos had something special attached regarding Dad & Murph. Made me miss Mom too, she enjoyed “Counting Cars” before she had to be cared for in a nursing home
This Derek guy below sounds folksy, but he’s by no means dumb. Here’s a backstory.

There is a warning at the beginning of each episode:

I loved the end of this video. You see that yellow Corvette above doing burnouts? If you wanna see the coolness in it’s entirety, directly to the spot of what is highlighted at the beginning of VGG’s recent uploads, fast forward the above video to 15 minutes & 50 seconds in.
THE CAR CATCHES FIRE AND HE DOES ANOTHER BURNOUT… because he can!
One more:
Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoy these videos. Please let me know in the comments if you know of this channel, and if you checked out these videos, what do you think? Do you appreciate muscle cars and older vehicles being saved from the crusher, scrap yards, trash dumps, and retaining their mobility for others to see and appreciate (gas guzzler/emissions crap aside)?

“Give me Lizardry or give me Death!” ❤️Murph & Dawn
