Free speech apparently isn’t free. Some people say what they think and pay for it with their lives. We are born with brains and vocal chords. People should have the liberty to say what they want. Words don’t hurt people.
However, words may feel like they hurt our hearts or make us feel happy & grateful in conversations with those dear to us, and generally, they may (or may not) affect our moods or thoughts in tremendous ways, but they don’t hurt. When it comes to politics or beliefs, actions hurt people, not words. What are your thoughts?

Murph was born here in the United States, and he is a fighter for his life and a rebel against conformity, or, at least the norm. If this boy wanted to do something, he fought with all his might to get his way… and he, more often than not, got his way. He’d work and wiggle against my grasp to stay outside in the sun, he was determined to cuddle with who he wanted, or climb into the neighbor’s yard & so much more! Love this rebel forevermore.

I love our rights, and freedom of speech is just one special one. I’d like to share an example of the beauty of free speech. If you don’t know who Afroman is, allow me to introduce you. The sheriff’s department raided his home on suspicion of illegal activities. They damaged his gate at his driveway, damaged his entry door, and ruined his security system (these estimating to about 20,000 USD). They seized his cash & he didn’t get it all back. So, this proud-to-be-an-American wrote and performed songs about the event. He had the unfolding captured on his private home security system, until they cut it, and he added the footage to his music videos. The seven deputies involved, in turn, sued Afroman… and lost! Afroman knew his rights and used his talents and freedom of speech to cope or make light of an unfair experience. He wasn’t entirely powerless, he had a great idea, and on a positive note – more people know about him and his music than before.
Song set to the tune of “Under the Boardwalk.”
Before the trial, he released this next video AND WORE THIS OUTFIT IN THE COURTROOM – LOVE IT!! Check out the name of the song😁:
Song set to the tune of “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”
I’d like to share someone else if you don’t know of him already. His name is Charlie Kirk, and he was murdered at the young age of 31 – – – – for talking.
It doesn’t matter whether or not you believe all he has spoken, but was this man actually hurting anyone or anything? My dad used to say “Moderation is key.” Dad had a lot of short & logical statements. I think that extremes are exhausting and extremists can be unfair, even deadly.

On another topic, I want you to see Diamond. I’ve not shown her before today. The local shelter posted a photo of her last year and they were pleading for someone to adopt or foster her because she was so thin. Now, she is pampered at her permanent home here:

A house divided will fall, united we stand. If you do nothing but complain about the United States, and you live here, please, by all means, move on. Go live in a 3rd world country for a month, no, not at a resort, oh no no no, in the depths of what it means to be somewhere where other people are fleeing from to be here, in the UK, and elsewhere, and then come back to your country & take a good look – if you are alive and able, we’ll then see how you feel.
What do those who leave poor countries often bring to a country they move to – themselves as great engineers, medical specialists, philosophers, entrepreneurs, philanthropists… or are a great many actually leaches who think entirely differently than we in the realm of morals and logic and who benefit from our capitalistic republic? Statistically, what do you think?
Of course, there are well-meaning people in every land who don’t want anyone to suffer, some do want life, liberty, and the ability to pursue happiness – you know, what you/we actually do have the ability to obtain – for now.
Happy semiquincentennial Independence Day to my fellow Americans, and have a fantastic day our faraway friends and everyone!
“Give me Lizardry or give me Death!” – ❤️Murph & Dawn
